Business Information:

Short description of your business: I have been an attorney since 1996.  My practice emphasizes civil litigation, real estate, construction, and contract law.  I also handle administrative law cases such as student suspensions and bullying.  I have been an arbitrator for both King and Snohomish counties for over 10 years, and perform arbitrations for private parties on contract, construction, and real estate disputes.  I teach continuing legal education courses on trial and litigation techniques, and also act as a hearing officer for lawyer disciplinary trials.

Tell us something that would surprise people about your business:  Prior to obtaining my law degree, I was an engineer for Texaco for 9 years, and worked as an engineer for General Motors in Detroit prior to that.  I also was an officer in a residential construction company for 10 years.

Personal Information:

Family information (kids, pets, etc):  My law-dawg Standard Poodle “Daisy Duke” comes to work with me daily.

Personal interests or hobbies:  I live in a golf-course community, so golf is a big hobby – along with fly fishing, volleyball, and running.  I am a volunteer with the Eastside Legal Assistance Program where I provide periodic free legal counseling to low-income clients.

Member of any other Associations or Clubs?   I am a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King and Snohomish Bar Associations, Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, and serve on the Board of Directors of the Tam O’Shanter Community and TAMS Golf Club.
